It’s now only 7 weeks until my last Sunday at CNC. The trustees have started
getting things ready for the ‘vacancy’ as well as the process of finding a new
minister. They have created 3 teams to move this forward: an appointment
team, led by Frank Booth, that will look at the process of appointment as well as
asking the big questions about what kind of church CNC should be going
forward; a operations team, led by Fiona Brown, to make sure everything
happens that’s supposed to happen for the church to run; and a prayer team,
led by Mike and Ann Hutchinson and Roger and Debs Horsley, that will explore
ways to make sure everything is covered in prayer throughout.
In last week’s service we started looking at what we thought was good and
valuable about CNC right now, and what could CNC be or do that it isn’t doing
yet. The standout things we value at the moment are: the informality and
variety of our worship; our amazing kids’ work; the mutual support we give each
other; and our flexibility. Areas to develop in the future were largely around
outreach and engagement in the local community, as well as our worship. I will
email out the summary of the results to everyone, but if you were away and
would like to add your answers to the results then please do contact Frank.
Love and blessings, Ash

This will be on 8th June this year from 11am to 2.30pm at St Christophers Warden
Hill. Shelly Tucker is organising the rotas and will be in touch with people to
volunteer for the event. This is our major community event of the year, and it

Humans vs Zombies at Emmanuel Church. This event will run twice, once for
each age group. We have booked the entirety of Emmanuel church (incl. garden
and car park). The aim is to find the hidden cure whilst fending off Zombies by
using Nerf guns. A great survival game to bring friends along to. Please sign up by

School years 10-13: 16.03.2019, 7-9pm.
