January Notes

You are here: Home / CNC News / January Notes

On 12th January, we will be celebrating our 30th anniversary. CNC began life as Glenfall Fellowship, a plant from St Barnabas Church. It was led by Rev Nigel Scotland and he will be back with us and preaching at the service on the 12th. Some of our congregation were part of that plant and others joined the church early on. After the service, please stay for prosecco and cake.

2020 is also a time of new beginnings for CNC. We look forward to Sarah and Ben starting their ministry with us in March. Sarah will be licensed at Bournside by Bishop Rachel on 6th March (details to follow) and her first service will be on 8th March. Please pray for Sarah and Ben as they prepare for their wedding in February, their move to Cheltenham and their vision for CNC.

HELP – If you’re not already on a rota would you please consider volunteering to help on a Sunday morning? Michelle still needs more helpers for the children’s groups.  Clare would also welcome extra volunteers for any of the Sunday morning rotas.

“Learning to Listen” at St Peter’s Cottages Church Road Leckhampton Thursday 23rd Jan 10 – 3pm. Reserve a place by phoning St Peter’s Church Office 01242

Cheltenham Network Church

CNC is a new kind of Church of England church. We work alongside the parish churches but don’t have our own parish. Instead we focus on the natural connections people have through the variety of ‘networks’ in their normal lives.

We are relaxed and informal and unashamedly family friendly with a membership made up from a wide range of backgrounds, ages and stages. Our desire is to be transformed by God and to transform the world around us.

For over 20 years CNC has worked in partnership with the churches in Charlton Kings under the name of Glenfall Fellowship. Since October 2015, with the generous support of the Cheltenham Deanery and the South Cheltenham Team Ministry, we are in a new season with a new name and a new venue.
